Ernest Withers Collection Review
After struggling for more than 40 years to have his pictures considered works of art, Ernest Withers would be proud of the work and the contemporary display his youngest daughter has made of some of the most tantalizing images of the 21st century. While Mr. Withers did realize the importance of his work in his later years, he never really got to see them hanging around on his own studio/museum wall. Rosland Withers and her curator have transformed this dankly and often overlooked building into one of the most illuminated entrances of a main stream modern art facilities in downtown Memphis. When you walk through the doors of the Withers Collection, you will be taken on a journey into the everyday lives of African Americans as they lived and suffered during the 1960's. You will also witness some of the more spectacular portraits of the American Negro League players like Willie Mays and Joe Gibson. Indeed, the Withers Collection is a testament to the history and progress found in Memphis,TN. Go Visit!

The Future of Money
With the advent of Greece impending default and the possible change of it's currency, I have decided to push forth a new idea for my project.
I will design a currency on a Alphanumerical value system based on every fifth letter in our Alphabet.
This system of currency will be similar to the Roman numeral symbols(e.g. alphabets were use as value symbols) and our numerical system of counting.
The currency will be secured by the amount of 1/3 bushel(rice, corn or soybean), per dollar value.
Example:
A = 1
A2
A3
A4
E=5 dollars...and then the next 5th letter. The letter Z will represent a base number for hundred(s).Wednesday, September 14, 2011
